Enter the Cauldron

The Cauldron of Invention comes to life every Halloween night in the Mississippi town of Greenwood at 1107 West President Ave. 20+ years in the making, it is 2nd to none in home haunts. Its creator, David Shaw, an electronics tech, now spends 3 to 6 months each year adding new props for the home haunt walk through. Totally free to the public, the attraction brings 500 to 1000 visitors a year in the 5 hours that it’s open from 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM on Halloween night. It takes about 5 days to set up and 2 days to tear down and pack up and requires 7 to 8 costumed operators to put on the show. Not your average blood and guts or jump out of the bushes home haunt. The Cauldron of Invention is for all ages and visitors range from infant to walking cane. The Cauldron is a walk through with 7 areas. Each with a theme and working props. Some of which are completely automated. The links below are in order of the walk through and the descriptions on the pics explain how many of the items work.
